Alumni

Young Global Pioneers has a thriving Global Talent Network of 112 hand-picked members from 28 countries, developed across five interacting journey alumni groups. All YGP Global Talent Network members have participated in a 3-week Learning Journey that kickstarted their life-long network.

GLOBAL TALENT NETWORK FOR LIFE

Through a dedicated private group on Facebook, as well as virtual learning and networking activities, we ensure that the Global Talent Network continually moves forward. Each Learning Journey group selected a steering committee, which works to ensure ongoing network participation and serves as a link to the Young Global Pioneers office.

LEARNING ARCHITECTURE

The YGP Learning Architecture for the five Learning Journeys was kindly developed by Professor Subramanian Rangan, Professor of Strategy, INSEAD. The learning architecture centered around Young Global Pioneers’ mission to ignite global curiosity, empathy and aspiration in the next generation. The Learning Journey activities and facilitated reflections were created upon the four cornerstones of our learning architecture – Travel, Adventure, Peer Interaction and Reflection.

GLOBAL REFLECTIONS

Global Reflections have been developed by Young Global Pioneers as one of the core ways that the YGP Global Talent Network members interact, engage and continually learn from each other. Global Reflections are hosted quarterly, where participants meet for online seminars on timely global topics. Global Reflections are supported by the Young Global Pioneers Office, where we produce preparation material that is sent to all participants beforehand. Prior topics include: Refugees & migration, SDGs, Personal goal-setting, and the 4th Industrial Revolution.

EXTENDED NETWORK

Young Global Pioneers opens doors for participants to other relevant networks and other relevant opportunities; e.g. UNLEASH and UN Youth SDG conferences.

VOLUNTEERING

Young Global Pioneers is a non-profit social-economic business with an impact model based on organizational partnerships as well as volunteer engagement. After participating on a Learning Journey, a large amount of the participants become active ambassadors of Young Global Pioneers, helping further the mission of responsible leadership.
