Environment & History in Zanzibar
We learned about mangroves and coral reefs in a biodiversity lecture at Zanzibar University. We spent the afternoon roaming the streets of Stone town and also visited the slave market, which brought a lot of thoughts to mind. We ended the day with a wonderful traditional Tanzanian dinner at the SOS kindergarten.
Key learnings from today:
Aubrey: “Know your history well in order not to repeat it.”
Charis: “Love does not recognize skin color, race or nationality, it recognizes action.”
Elena: “What can be beautiful for the one day on your table can give its beauty for 10 days in the nature.”
