COWI & Global Shapers

The theme of the day was responsible business and this is what we saw during the day’s many activities:

First, a visit to COWI, where we heard about the gas industry in Tanzania and how responsible environmental practices can be an integrated part of doing business. Next, we visited Vodacom and heard about their M-Pesa project, and how it is benefiting both business and society; ensuring financial inclusion.

At night, we had the incredible opportunity to learn from four Global Shapers who create significant impacts in their communities while growing their own companies. We were both amazed and inspired by each of their stories. One of the learnings from the day was:
