Iraqw Tribe & conservation discussions

“A lot can be learned from local knowledge”, is the learning sentence of the day. Today the participants met with an Iraqw elder to learn about the tribe’s history, culture and traditional techniques for home construction and making clothes. Later, the evening was filled with discussions on nature conservation, where the participants unpacked different motivations behind conservation efforts.
