stereotype discussions & Local engagement

“Be slow to judge, but quick to learn and observe”, is a learning sentence from Elexxus that reflects today’s discussions around stereotypes. 

The day’s learning was kickstarted by a morning workshop to better understand stereotyping, before the participants went into Stone Town communities to meet different families connected to the SOS Family Strengthening Program (FSP). Lunch was spent in small groups inside family homes within the SOS Children Village, sharing delicious Tanzanian food whilst having eye-level interactions.

The late afternoon was filled with activities between YGP participants and local youth.
