Women’s rights with a Maasai Community

“Take a stand and fight back for the change”, is a learning sentence from Saras that captured the inspiration the groups felt from their interactions with Maasai women today.

The days learning was kickstarted with a lecture on domestic human rights issues, including female genital mutilation (FGM). Afterwards the participants visited a Maasai village, where they were involved in engaging conversations about how the women were working to overcome the gender inequality within their community.
